Battlestar Galactica was one of my earliest favorite movies. When the series first hit the airwaves, many people were not sure how to feel about it. Fans were excited, while critics were torn between their love and hate for the series. The series went on to become one of my all-time favorites of all time. If you want to get into the mood for a Battlestar Galactica marathon, there are some great ways to do that.
At the beginning of that original revitalization came writer/producer Ronald D. Moore reworking the original Battlestar Galactica series. Over eighteen years since the original series ended, it is finally once again one of the biggest shows on television. The new show, Battlestar Galactica, is bringing it all back to life. While other popular shows have stalled because of the worldwide recession, a brand new Battlestar Galactica has been going full steam ahead. While other long-running television series have had to adapt to changing times, the Battlestar Galactica series has been able to take this opportunity to reinvent itself.
The first episodes of the new series were not exactly what fans were hoping for. In fact, many people were very surprised at how poorly the series managed to go in the ratings. It seemed that the introduction ofacus was not strong enough as many people felt that the first few episodes were not strong enough for strong TV ratings. There were a lot of reasons why the show failed, but the main problem seemed to be word saturation. The show became very obvious to most people watching the series. It became very apparent to people that the show just wasn’t that funny anymore and people were getting tired of it.
Luckily, the writers saw the light at the end of the tunnel and realized that the audience for the Battlestar Galactica series needed a boost. After making sure that the show was getting its needed boost, they decided to give the series a major revamp. They started to give the series the classic, old-school appeal that made it so successful in the first place. To make things even better, the new tv series went back to it’s tried and true formula of following a group of characters that are on a mission to save the world and stopping villains at the same time.
Battlestar Galactica Season 2
Battlestar Galactica was then brought back for a second season with a brand new series of episodes. During the first few episodes of the new Galactica series, the writers gave a greater emphasis on character development and romance, while toning it down with humor and family-related humor. Everyone seemed to respond well to the new direction of the show, which was a big vote of confidence from the network. The reboot also gave the network an opportunity to bring back some classic characters that had been cut from the show over the years. The show looked to continue its excellent ratings by earning rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
With all of the critical acclaim that the series has garnered over the past several seasons, it was only a matter of time before the show came back for a third and final season. The third season of Battlestar Galactica reunites the entire crew of the Battlestar Galactica and sends them off to the outer space prison of Babylon. From there, the series picks up shortly after and introduces several new characters as the war for mankind continues to rage. Some of the returning characters from the first season are: iolite (Lisa Marie Costanzona), Jules (Erica Durance), Phi (Tina Majorino), Rose (Sigourney Weaver), Donnie (Greg Garcia), and Noah (Dan Butler). These characters prove once again that the Battlestar Galactica series is one of television’s best ensemble dramas.
